I have owned several shaft drive bikes, and never had to do more than just change the oil and lube splines at the final drive. I looked at the service manual, and all it shows is change the final drive oil every 24,000 miles. 1. Run the engine a few minutes. 2. Place 5 quart oil holder under bike (About 3 bucks from Wally World). 3. 16mm socket to unscrew oil plugs (2 of them-1 under bike and 1 lower left side of engine. 4.
