And I like it so much. But it's an illusion. It's not a gun to like any more. The very first time at the range, the trigger froze up, locked up, tight after only 17 rounds of Fiocchi. Those were a Senechal trigger, Hogue grip sleeve and stainless steel guide rod with factory weight 17 lb spring. Hi all, New to this forum but hope I can get some feedback on a problem I'm having with my Security 9. Got this about 4 months ago and I really like the pistol. Probably put about 900 rounds thru it so far. Last time I was at the range everytime I inserted a full mag the slide went forward and the gun went into battery.My newly purchased Ruger Security 9 has a problem ejecting the spent casing. It doesn't always grab the casing to eject and causes a jam. I'm coming close to having put 1,000 rounds through the gun and here is the problem: It ONLY likes Federal ammo! Took the bolt out of the receiver and polished all surfaces on it that touch any other metal during cycling. Hello from Va. I to am having similar problems with the sr9c; I actually got the gun for the wife. The first time to the range first 50 rounds shot flawlessly then problems began. First with a major jam followed by several trigger no resets. It us my EDC, and I carry every day year round. It is an economy gun. To keep it economical some coatings are not as durable as those if more expensive guns.
