I have a Tikka and a couple Americans. Tikka is definitely a nicer rifle but there's a lot to like about the Ruger. Light weight, decent trigger, and mine all shoot moa or less. Tikkas use a different lead and throat system to enhance accuracy but loose substantial velocity in doing so. They too are prone to having shorter barrels.

Thats a big difference for a blue collar dude like me for a rifle that's not likley to shoot better, and possibly even worse. I'm not paying $1000 to say my rifle is "smoother". Couldn't say one shoots better than the other. I'd suspect with the heavier barrel the CTR would do better for longer strings of fire vs the Lite as the barrel gets hotter.
