It is a 12 ga Browning A5, plain barrel, 2 3/4",made in belgium. It has Browning Arms Company St Louis Mo on top of barrel. Serial #42xx with a lighter stamped ' M ' above it. This is on bottom and forward of receiver. Barrel serial # is 2xx with an F above it. Matching last three numbers on receiver.PhilipMarcAssad. To my understanding, the letter "V" represents a Magnum chamber. Check the barrel stamping--if it is chambered for 3" shells, that would seem to be correct. So "7V" would simply indicate an Auto-5 Magnum manufactured in 1967. As far as the rest of the serial number, it's just in consequential order of manufacture.

This is stamped on the loading door. I did look over the post #1 about serial numbers but I found it hard to believe that this gun is that old.

I can't make your date code look like any of the examples, but it might not be the original barrel. An early 1956 gun would probably have a barrel made in 1955. As to the right parts, the later Breech Blocks and Locking Blocks will fit a pre-1958 gun.
