Hi all, I live in Austin, TX and have been having ~30-40 degree weather the past few days. I have a heat pump with auxiliary heat strips. I've noticed that the expensive heat strips always seem to come on along with the heat pump after a while even though my Nest thermostat is on max savings mode and does not show the use of aux heat.
