I'll take the rattling dirt magnet over an A2 stock but prefer the Magpul CTR or STR. They're perfectly fine. The people that bitch about buttstock rattle are the same people that complain about upper and lower reciever rattle, or put butt plugs in Glocks. I don't think the A1or A2 stock is that much different in profile from that of an AKM stock - especially the polymer AKM stocks with the groove on the side installed on a 7.62x39 rifle.
