Also, if you like all black and all steel, the Super Carry Ultra HD is another option. Other than that they are very much similar.

I know about the rear sight, the trigger, the finish, the slight butt difference, the ambi safety, and the back and front strap checkering, am I missing anything? Oh, and the 1oz weight difference. Here's one I can speak from experience on. I own both. The Ultra Carry is a stainless model with alloy frame and of course the Glock I reference is the 36. Kimber weighs 25.0 oz. and 8 rounds capacity. Glock 36 weighs 20.0 oz. and 7 rounds capacity. Side by side they both carry great. About the same size too.

The Kimber SIS Ultra Carry 1911 sports a 3" barrel, aluminum frame, steel slide, matte black finish, self cocking serrations, combat night sights, and an aluminum match grade trigger with the pull set at a factory 4-5 lbs. The gun weighs 25 ounces with an empty magazine. BOTTOM LINE: Over the last fewyears, Kimber ...Fit and finish are both excellent, and it is actually tighter in slide fit than the the Kimber. With about 400 rounds through the Operator, I have had 2 FTF issues in the first 100 rounds, none since. The Operator has much better sights, and to me has less felt recoil than the Kimber.
