Glock 19 vs xd.

A friend of our daughter who owns a number of guns, but no XD's hands me his Glock 19 the other day to 'see with I think'. OK, fair enough, so today I'm off to the range with his Glock 19 and my XD9 Service. They are basically the same size and capacity. The grip on the XD is just a tiny bit longer, hardly worthy of mention.The XD/XDm 3.8 compacts are closest in size to the G19. If you wanna talk about "plastic toys" though, the Glock is more so than the XD. Stock Glocks use polymer magazines and guide rods, whereas the XDs' are stainless steel. XD9 fits my hand better but the Glock 19 is more concealable because of the shorter grip. The XD is a pretty slept on gun, its comfortable, easy to shoot, and easier to manipulate than a gen 3 19. That being said, If we Californians had better access to a gen 5, I would probably go with that.The Glock 19 Gen 3 sports a sleek and straightforward design that is distinctively Glock. It feels robust, dependable, and its medium size fits well in both large and small hands. The grip texture on the Glock 19 is less aggressive than the Springfield XD9, making it more comfortable to handle during extended shooting sessions.

The G-19 is comparable to the XD9-S, but not the XD9-SC. The SC is easier to conceal on us Vertically Challenged individuals. Personally, I have NO problem with tucking my pinky under the SC's mag, rather than using an extension. I shoot better with the 13 Rd mag than with the 16 Rd mag... But that's subjective.

No issues,,,,, That was until I shot my XD sub. In my opinion no comparison with accuracy. At least for me personally. Now,, I realize I have more trigger time on my XD but I really did shoot the XD much better.
