Its one of my favorite weapons in the game, currently my weapon of choice on my faith/dex build. It has some speed, and some serious reach for a sword, and a good moveset. The only downside is it doesnt hit too hard, and only has the base 100 crit modifier.

For main hand I think the others are better. Estoc looks silly but is undoubtedly better than the rapier. Estoc, definitely. Even with a quality build, the spear's AR is never really going to be high enough to warrant its slower attack speed. You'll end up killing mob enemies in, say, 3 hits, the same number it would take with the estoc. And the estoc will do it much faster, with a much shorter delay between combos.
