I have a Trane heat pump with a Trane furnace for aux heat. The panel on my furnace/ air handler also had B/C that connected to my old Honeywell tstat's "B" terminal. After digging around I learned the B/C was the C I needed for the Ecobee. If you have a multimeter, do you get 24V AC at the Tstat across your B/C and Rc?I only have four wires available at the thermostat today (G , W , Y , R). I used the PEK install guide [ R-> Rc ; G -> C ; W -> W1 ; Y -> PEK ] and the Ecobee4 powered up fine. I thought all was good until the temperature dropped and the heat just never kicked on. To add to what everyone else has said. You have a heat pump. W2 should go in W1. And E (emergency heat) should go in W2. I have the same set up.
