Recently replaced my old battery, on the 2018 Accord sport, and the message started to pop up. I checked the alternator and belt of the car and everything turned out fine.

That can be hard to find sometimes. Start with checking any additional wiring you installed n the machine for lightning etc. Like.3. Worn or Broken Belts. Another common problem that can cause the charging system to fail is a broken alternator belt or one that is worn so bad it slips badly. If the alternator works properly but the belt doesn’t spin it fast enough, the voltage output can drop and cause the system to act as though the alternator doesn’t work.Yikes! The Manual has ominous words about this: "Comes on when there is a problem with the charging system." Then, the Manual also says, "Stop in a safe place and have your vehicle checked by a dealer immediately. My battery went dead on my way home from works with the same symptoms as when the alt bit the dust. Had both battery and alternator checked, both are good. Tried newer battery, indicator light still oan. 12 volt battery charging system problem. Also, DTC P16E3 (PGM-FI battery sensor LIN communication error) may be stored.
