He was born Sept. 21, 1922 in Pittsfield Twp., Lorain Co. to the late Benjamin and Ethel (Opdyke) Behner. He was a 1940 graduate of Mt. Vernon Academy. He was a farmer and a general contractor, starting his career in LaGrange.
