Something funny is I'm pro dnd, but pnp concentration is something that I wish was tweaked in pnp and bg3. Laruan changed a lot of rules but kept concentration basically the same. I love the idea of concentration, but zi do wish casters were capable of concentrating on more spells as they level as they gain power and knowledge.

It's a concentration spell for a reason. If it was a normal melee attack spell like inflict wounds, it wouldn't need to be a concentration spell because there's nothing to concentrate on, since you're not keeping any effect active. I'm not sure why it's in BG3 in such a weird way, but I really hope it gets changed to how it works in 5e.Shadowheart kept concentration on a massive crit (probably thanks to the 1&20 homebrew rule on checks and saves, but it doesn't show what the roll is on saves and checks outside of dialog).
